Embarking on a quest to rediscover wonder usually ends in cavernous spaces still echoing whispers from pioneers long gone. This group exhibition tenderly confronts transformation and withstands the lure of predisposed role play. Each participating artist embraces intimacy while unapologetically evoking viewers into having an exchange with their concealed selves. Works include seductive ink blots, mermaid encounters, and operatic arias drifting between lighthouses.

Brigitta Varadi, a Hungarian-born, Brooklyn-based artist incorporates textile processes such as dyeing, felting, and sculptural manipulation into her practice. During her residency with TAC, Brigitta plans on constructing a site-specific installation for the Green Acres Garden involving various light-sensitive felted and naturally dyed banners and running lines. We are very excited to have her with us and hope that you are there to join us with the completion of her project at the end of the summer.
For more information and images of the artist’s work or more information about TAC’s Sewing Seeds residency program please to visit either the artist’s website, or Sewing Seeds!
