The work explores how customary, mechanically performed daily activities embedded itself in our memory and how these movements leave traces and patterns behind them.

Looking at the work that women do from day to day and considered menial, and gives it beauty. Examining the act of dipping the mop into the waves, moving slowly through the movements creating a stillness/mindfulness in the middle of the storm.TRACE merely seeks to preserve a momentary action in time and in space.

Brigitta Varadi, artist born in Hungary lives and works in Ireland since 2001. She divides her time between Co.Leitrim and New York.
